Getting a facial at a local spa can really break the bank, so instead of paying $50 a week for a professional to do it, I decided to bring the spa to the comfort of my own home. Here are my 3 favorite facial tools…

Clarisonic Mia
imageThis powerful device removes all traces of makeup & dirt way better than what my hands could ever do. Plus, it does it in half the time! It gives my face a deep, invigorating pore cleansing that reduces acne breakouts and always leaves my skin feeling fresh and clean. But pairing this bad boy with a quality facial scrub takes it to a whole new level! Since using it, my face has became softer, smoother and more radiant than ever before. What sets this device apart from the rest of the competition is the sonic technology. The brush head doesn’t simply rotate, ohhh nooo. It moves over 300 times in one second! Crazy, right? And it’s gentle enough to use every day. If you are looking for a quality facial brush that will last, check out the  Clarisonic. I’ve tried the cheaper versions and trust me, they all aspire to be this.

Conair True Glow Facial Sauna                                                                                              image

After months of holding my face over a bowl of piping hot water, I needed a less dangerous and more convenient way to steam my face. So I researched and found an amazing deal on this Conair True Glow Facial Sauna. It comes with a facial dome, hot and cold functions and a 15 minute timer. This thang works great y’all. It only takes about 3 minutes for the water to heat up, and with the help of the facial dome, the steam is able to reach every angle of my face. Tired of splashing cold water on your face to close your pores? Well, no problem! Just switch the function from hot to cold, wait a few moments, then enjoy a cool, refreshing facial mist. It’s pretty much awesome. Easy set up and easy clean up. If you plan on giving yourself consistent facials, just get the Conair Sauna and do it the right way.

Blackhead Remover
imageI found this little handy dandy at my local beauty supply for about $3. After steaming my face and opening my pores, blackheads can’t stand a chance to this pimple popping, pore unclogging, facial savior! Sometimes steaming alone isn’t enough and I have to bring out the heavy artillery to get rid of them. But be careful not to overuse it or you’ll end up with more scars on your face than you began with. If the blackhead doesn’t come out, don’t force it! But when it does and you see little clunks of dirt spewing out of your pores, right then and there is when you realize just how beneficial this tool really is. It’s effective, it’s cheap and it definitely gets the job done.

So there you have it! My favorite facial tools for an at home facial. Share with me what you’re using! I’d love to check em out! Til next time…

Stay Beautiful,

Dominique
